Each shipment is individually inspected and may be subject to refusal(in the case of non-compliance) which would result in delays and loss of trade in addition to a mandatory report to Transport Canada. Several products, exempted from the ground transport regulations, are fully regulated by air (e.g.: aerosols, perfumes, paints, adhesives, etc.). In addition, a report may be generated to Transport Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Several products, exempt from land transport regulations, are fully regulated for air transport (eg: aerosols, perfumes, paints, adhesives, etc.). Additionally, FedEX automatically treats all dangerous goods shipments as air transport even over very short distances.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Legal requirements under Canadian legislations;<\/li>\n<li>Shipper\u2019s responsibilities;<\/li>\n<li>The use of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and our guide);<\/li>\n<li>The classification (shipping description) of dangerous goods and the 9 classes;<\/li>\n<li>General packaging requirements (such as pressure testing requirements) and specific packing instructions;<\/li>\n<li>Marking and labeling of packages;<\/li>\n<li>Shipper&#8217;s Dangerous Goods Declaration and Air Waybill;<\/li>\n<li>State and operator variations (particularly for Canada and the USA);<\/li>\n<li>Exemptions (limited and exempted quantities);<\/li>\n<li>Calculating the Q value;<\/li>\n<li>Segregation requirements;<\/li>\n<li>Spill reporting requirements (overview).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duration: Typically, 4-14 hours,<\/strong> depending on client needs and experience. Only 4-7 hours if you have successfully completed our TDG-201 training.<\/p>\n<p>Each candidate receives a copy of our IATA guide on the transport of dangerous goods by air as well as a training certificate recognized by Transport Canada.
