Intended audience: People who prepare dangerous goods for the Canadian Far North or abroad (chemical distributors, construction firms).
The transport of dangerous goods by sea is governed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) IMDG Code. Products normally exempt from land transport regulations are regulated for maritime transport. In addition, specific segregation standards are enforced. Shipments are inspected before boarding and non-compliant shipments are refused transport, which could cause significant delays in your deliveries.

Course summary
Duration: Typically, 7 hours, depending on client needs and experience. Only 4 hours if you have successfully completed our TDG-201 training.
Each candidate receives a copy of our IMDG guide on the transport of dangerous goods by sea as well as a training certificate recognized by Transport Canada. Copies of the IMDG Code are available for the duration of the course.
